    Nine years later, John Messimer  in 1985,  stands drinking a cup of pure, thirst-
    quenching "Crystal Chilled Distilled" water from his successful "Distillation Station".

In the year 1976, just a stone's throw from the Michigan  International Speedway, in Bill's IGA (Independent Grocers Association)  distilled water was being installed by Doug Hoover of the Aquamedia Corporation. Nine years later, in June of 1985, the owner of Bill's IGA store reported sales of  Crystal Distilled drinking water was in excess of 2500 gallons per week in addition to over 1,500 pounds of  Crystal Distilled  ice cubes. Brooklyn has a population of 1,300! He was excited to add that  the  Crystal Distilled  drinking water from the  Distillation Station produced the highest profit margin of any item in his store." Crystal Distilled is produced by steam vapor compression distillation which kills all bacteria and cysts, removing everything from the water, resulting in the purest, healthiest water available, distilled!

Distillation is the same process our Creator designed into His creation to provide a means to clean and purify the earth's water, The Hydrologic Cycle in which the sun heats the earth causing water to evaporate, leaving behind bacteria and harmful substances. The vapor then cools, forming clouds of distilled clean water, then condensing and falling back to earth. If not for today's vast amounts of air pollution, rain would be pure distilled water with a neutral pH of 7, making it a natural solvent.


As the rain hits the ground, it immediately begins dissolving and eroding many things it comes in contact with.  As it soaks into the earth it dissolves and picks up both organic and inorganics minerals, plus cancer-causing chemicals, hydrocarbons, flourocarbons, nitrates, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, toxic waste, etc. Distilled water has nothing in it "...empty water...H2O plus nothing...hungry water..." the very reasons it is the healthiest water to drink.

In the distillation process, water in the boiling tank comes to a boil, creating steam.
The steam rises, leaving behind bacteria killed in the boiling process, as well as chemicals, heavy minerals and pollutants found in the water source.
The steam moves past a volatile gas vent, into the condenser coils where it is cooled by air and condenses to become pure distilled water.

   Once the water has been boiled away you 
   are left with a foul-smelling thick syrup or
   sludge which one throws away instantly.
   To think you would have drunk that  
   before!
   The steam (2) then rises and enters the
   cooling coil (4). The fan (3) ensures that
   the steam condenses in the cooling coil.
   Water then drips through the carbon post-
   filter (5) which removes all poisonous
   gases dissolved in the tap water. (6) is
   the distilled water. This Distiller takes
   hours to make 3.8 litres of pure distilled
   water.


Our body receives many harmful toxins from our environment, through the foods we eat, beverages and water we drink, and the air we breathe. Compounding this problem is the fact that most people do not drink enough water, resulting in dehydration.  Consequently, many of these toxins are unable to be flushed from our bodies, contributing to many ailments and diseases.

Water serves seven basic functions in our bodies. Water replenishes blood, digestive juices, lubricants and other important fluids, controls body temperatures, metabolizes food, carries nutrients to the cells of our bodies and dissolves and flushes waste and foreign materials, carrying them away for elimination. If water is that important, doesn't it make logical sense to drink sufficient amounts of the cleanest, purest, healthiest water available?

Nutritious food is the source of our vitamins and trace minerals, not water. There are many brands of mineral waters sold on the market today, all of which are touted for their mineral content. However, these companies do not inform the public that the majority of the minerals found in water are not chelated; they are inorganic not organic or trace mineral -- the type that is found in food. Inorganic minerals are not chelated and therefore cannot be utilized by our bodies, and they actually contribute to numerous health problems. Even if water contained any beneficial elements, their importance would be made void and overpowered by the pollutants present with them. The great news is that pure H2O (distilled water) dissolves and carries away unwanted, unhealthy, detrimental substances from the cells and tissues, flushing them from the body.

Proponents of carbon filters and RO (reverse osmosis) systems commonly malign advocates of distilled water, making false claims with regard to the relationship between distilled water and health, and refuting the fact that distilled water is the purest drinking water available. What filter advocates neglect to share is that if the filters are not changed regularly, they will become overloaded with toxic material and begin releasing pollutants in larger proportions than what was found in the municipal water to begin with.

Distilled water, on the other hand, is devoid of all foreign substances, assuring its quality simply by the very process with which it was produced: the distillation process. Common sense should dictate that since most of America's drinking water contains pollutants, many of which are hazardous to our health, that we should drink water that has had everything removed and then take supplements of vitamins and minerals and maintain a healthy diet. 

Another startling fact that suprises many is that as much as 5-7 gallons of precious water is wasted in the reverse osmosis (RO) process of filtering just one gallon of water. Five to seven gallons of water is used to flush and wash away pollutants that attempt to plug the RO membrane. The "vapor compression" distiller utilizes only one gallon in the production of 5 to 6 gallons of pure distilled water. (Distilled is the cleanest, purest, healthiest water on earth.

I personally have been drinking distilled water for over 35 years. I am not a vegetarian and I eat pretty much everything in moderation.  I also fast a couple of times a year on just distilled water, and consequently I have been disease and sickness free.

Education is the central theme of the "Distillation Stations"TM     for we are not simply in the business of marketing distilled drinking water, but we are also actively educating the public about pure water's relationship to our health.

Of the most effective processes of water purification today, such as RO (reverse osmosis), de-ionization, carbon filtration, and distillation, RO is the most popular method, because when used in conjunction with carbon filtration and ultraviolet light, a high quality water can be produced. However, the quality of water is totally dependent upon the frequency of RO membrane replacement including the prefilters, post filters and UV light. Over an undetermined and unpredictible period of time the membrane and filters become clogged and overloaded with contaminants and particulates, causing an event known as channeling. Water will then start taking the path of least resistance through the carbon filters and no longer will the carbon be effective in filtering the water.
